Who We Are

Interdependent Living Solutions Center, Inc. (ILSC) is an IRS 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Founded in 1999 by Executive Director Valencia Whitely, a Registered Nurse. The organization is guided by a Board of Directors and Advisory Council. Through its tenure as a charitable organization, ILSC purchased Genesis Place, located in Evergreen Park, Illinois, transforming the house into a 16-person supportive housing residence. Originally Genesis Place served frail seniors. However, in 2013, ILSC transitioned services to its current programs, including Permanent Supportive Housing for Disabled Veterans and Senior Residential Program. As of 2004, ILSC integrated Job Training and Employment Placement services (currently being restructured - see strategic plan).

Interdependent Living Solutions Center, Inc. (ILSC) has always achieved a very high standard of scoring with its funders for the manner in which programs and housing are delivered and maintained.
